Dr. Douglas Smith, M.D., is a Board Certified Family Physician with over 23 years of practice experience. Dr. Smith is the Chief Medical Officer for Consult A Doctor.
He has been the Chief of Family Medicine at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN from 1998-2000. He is currently practicing in a solo practice in Plymouth, Minnesota. He has written articles in the Family Practice Management Journal and Minnesota Medicine focusing on patient access issues and retail clinics. Dr. Smith was the medical founder and co-founder of MinuteClinic and the Retail clinic business model. He has been the medical director RTW, a workers' compensation management company for the past 14 years.
